NOUNS

Anything that has a name (even if you don’t know it) is called a noun. Your teachers in elementary grades repeatedly dumped into your heads that “a noun is a word referring to a person, place, or thing.” Therefore, a NOUN is a naming word.

Everything you talk about is represented by a word: concrete or abstract (feelings, qualities, measures), count or non-count (mass), or action (e.g. teaching, writing).

A Noun has possession and number. On the right side of the screen are links to games and quizzes made for you by teachers of the CEU International Languages Department. These activities are designed for your practice to gain mastery. You may answer them as many times as you wish. As teachers, we may validate your performance by picking out quiz items here and there to be given in your class. This will give us a better view of how well you have learned from these online materials.

So enjoy while you learn...

To be able to access the games, you should update your computer with the latest version of adobe flash player.
