Life in Gupta Empire was rich. They had silver and gold mines and very good trade. They grew more powerful expanding their land, taking almost all the northern land. Trade created jobs for people in the
Gupta Empire. They made Hinduism the official religion.

What was the Gupta empire?
Long ago in India small kingdoms started to fight with one another it was about 500years that India had no strong ruler .Then in A.D320,a prince in the Ganges river valley grew more powerful then the others. They became powerful because of the treading they did .they traded salt,cloth and iron.
They traded all the way to china and small kingdoms in the southern of Asia. The prince name was
Chandragupta then when then when he died his son samudragupta takes over the throne and expands the Gupta empire in northern India soon the northern India. The Guptas ruled for about 200 years
