A long time ago, in Tasmania there was a kookburra named Kyle, and he was always sad. He was never happy or joyful. He didn't have any friends at all, and his parents left to North Austrailia when he was born. He didn't talk much either, so when he got to his tree from school, he went to bed. On the weekends he just sat on his bed wondering what his parents look like and what they were doing.
Then one day he finally got out of his bed and went to go get some shrimp at the ocean. Also, he saw a clown fish named Carl doing some jokes, so Kyle went over there to see what he was doing. Carl asked him, "What do you call Australia boxer shorts?"
Kyle thought and said, "I don't know."
Then Carl said, "DOWN-UNDERWEAR!" So Kyle started to laugh so hard and he never stopped. That's how the Laughing Kookaburra gots its laughter.
