What is the Ring of Fire? The definition of the Ring of Fire is: the liner zone of Seismic and Volcanic activety that coincedes in genral with margin of the Pacific plate.
The pacific Rim ( witch outlines the pacific ocean) is also known as the "Ring of Fire" from it's extrusive history of volcanic eruptions. In the east, these include Japan, The Phillipines, Indonesia, New Gina,New Zealand, and many more of the south pacific islands. In South America= all the west coast countries ( Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Columbia) lie in these shadow of the explosive Andean mountain range volcanoes.
