The Ring of Fire. By: Kyle Brotherton

The Ring of Fire is a giant circle with a bunch of volcanoes along the the circle. The Ring of Fire stretches from South America, to North America, to Asia,to Australia, to Europe. The Ring is in Brazil and pushes up the Andes Mountains and North along the coast of of Central America.

The subducting crust of each volacanoe is wet. The water helps to mantle overlying the plate. Which foms chunks of magma that wellsthrough at mid-ocean ridges. The magma rises up toward the surface. The magma is really, really gassy. That's how it explodes!
