The Chorus is one of the best drama films of the year 2004.
Gérard Jugnot plays the part of Clément Mathieu, a music teacher.
The story takes place in France in 1949.
The film is about a Clément Mathieu, an unemployed music teacher, who began working as a guard at a juvenile rehablitation boarding-school . In his effots to move closer to his students, Mathieu discovers that music powerfully attracts them and comes to the task of familiarizing them with the magic of singing, while transforming their lives forever.
The acting in general is excellent. Gérard Jugnot is totally convincing as Clément Mathieu and Jean-Baptiste Maurier makes a brilliant role as a student at the boarding-school, Pierre Morhange.
The plot is easy to follow and the dialogue is brilliant.
Another thing that I ejoyed was the soundtrack, which was really great.
This film is amazing. It made me think.
My recommendation is to go and see it now.
