General Robert E.Lee was a Civil War general for the south. He served as the south's greatest general. He lead the Confederate Army in the Civil War and was defeated,but he gave a great battle. He was a graduate from West Point a school of military training then going to Texas and became a lieutenant after serving in the Mexican War he became captain and before going to the Civil War he became general at the Second Calavary Regiment.
News spread to General Lee that some southern states were seceding from the Conferderacy and Virginia was considering succesion.
