I was born March 13, 1767. At age 13 I joined the army. I married a rich woman named Rachel Donelson Robards. In 1814 I survived the Creek War. In 1824, I was almost elected the 6th president. In 1829 I became President of the USA. I was the first president to live in South Carolina. My nicknames were "Old Hickory" and "King Andrew". I am known for being the least educated president. I was also known for being mischevious and hot tempered. I adopted a son. My parents came from Ireland. I was named after my Dad. I once said,
"One man with courage makes a majority." I died in 1845. |
