| I was married to James Madison, the fourth president of the U.S.and a first famous host. In 1808, James Madison had been elected fourth president. Also he had ran the U.S. for a long time. I was a 26 year old widow girl. I was a first famous host and I had served the white house. When James Madison was out to Virginia the British set the white house on fire. As quick as I could I grabbed the draft of the constitution and a picture of George Washington. James Madison died so I moved back to Washington on July 12 ,1894. | |
