| Shield Volcanoes are very big they can grow very big. Shield Volcanoes are tall, broad and they are flat rounded shapes. Pyroclastic material makes the Shield Volcanoes relatively safe. Mauna Loa, is the largest Shield volcano. Shield volcano is the third type of volcano.
