The dramas and writings varied during the renaissance time period and consisted of many different genres of literature. These were different because countries in Europe had different writting styles, oppinions on writing, and different hardships that some others would boldly write about or disclose within there writings. People often enjoyed reading literature from other countries because it gave them an opportunity to better undferstand the different culture and they often could relate to the emotions and struggles as in the ones in the text. It was said that poetry was one of the most emotional writing styles during the Renaissance. Some found it hard to fully understand because it was taken in by so many ways when they were read. This was often the goal of many of the authors because the loved the idea of keeping the readers thinking on what the story was interperating. In my oppinnion I think the same way about poetry. During this time there were many famous poets such as world known William Shakespeare. He as you probably already know was the author of the famous love story of "Romeo and Juliet". Today this story is recreated in almost everyway and just about everywhere. It's been reintroduced in cartoons, movies, music, and some of the lines within the story have even been used on the backs of valintines cards. But well back then they just stuck with acting the story out in plays. Im pretty sure if Shakespeare was alive today he would be really proud to see how inspiring his work was. But dont get me wrong he was a great poet and play writer but he sure wasn't the only one. There were many other inspirational poets like Dante, Giovanni, Machiavelli, and well many others. All in all it seems like even though they didn't have tv's and movies they seemed to entertian themselves almost better then we do today. Im pretty sure if it werent for there theater plays and great novels that or lives today would lack all the fun and entertainment that we have today. This is only a little bit of information but if you have a thurst for a larger scoop on the Renaissance then be sure to visit the links that are posted on this web poster.
