As the sun shines on the earth, it warms the air. Then the hot air rises, and colder air rushes in, creating wind.
Using the wind to create electricity has been around for a long time - you've probably seen windmills on farms. When the wind turns the blades of a windmill, it spins a turbine inside a small generator to produce electricity, just like a big coal power plant. The wind is good to use because it is renewable. Also it is clean for the environment so we can keep using it.
Electricity can be created by windmills. The windmill can catch wind and distribute it into electricity.
