Wind Energy

There are two types of wind turbines, based on the way the blades move. There are horizontal and vertical wind turbines. Wind turbines slow down the wind while it goes over the blades, causing them to rotate. The blades are connected to a shaft that transports the energy to a generator that makes electricity. How big wind turbines is how much energy it creates, small turbines power one home while some big ones power whole buildings. Wind speeds differ for every state in every region. So it’s not yet the best energy. Wind energy still needs more research but is a reliable resource.
