WHAT IS IT?

What is the green house effect? Does it have anything to do with the green house buildings that we keep plants in? Well, sort-of. The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that happens to the Earth because gasses in the atmosphere like CO2, nitrous oxide and methane trap energy that is received from the Sun. How this relates to the greenhouse buildings is that the greenhouse gasses are like the gas panes in greenhouse buildings. They trap the sunlight. The steps in the greenhouse effect is the sunlight enters the atmosphere, it is used, the energy travels back up but greenhouse gasses trap it and that contributes to global warming.

GREENHOUSE EFFECT with GLOBAL WARMING

We need these greenhouse gasses to keep our Earth warm but an abundant amount can be dangerous to our Earth. Ice is melting and it is increasing the amount of water in the oceans. Animals have also been dying. Most of the greenhouse effect has been done because of us. Our factories, cars and burning fossil fuels make CO2, or carbon dioxide. Now to prevent this we need to take action. If we decrease usage of cars and lessen our factories, we can decrease CO2. Also if we plant trees they will take in CO2 for their photosynthesis. Little steps will make a big difference.
