Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source. It comes from a Greek word, geo (earth) and thermal (heat). This energy comes from inside the earth. To get geothermal energy you dig deep wells and pump underground heated water. Did you know that the United States produces the most geothermal energy than any other country, but only 1% of the U.S energy is geothermal? Geothermal energy can be used to heat and cool buildings, grow plants, generate electricity and warm pools. The water get’s to be 300◦F. Although this source pollutes it can not be used everywhere and still needs more research.
