He Worked With George Babcock To Invent The Water Tube Steam Boiler, This Boiler Allowed A safe And Much More Efficient Way To Produce Steam.
In 1856, The Two Created A Safety Water Tube Boiler With Inclined Tubes. And About 10 Years Later the two men established a partnership which later became the Babcock & Wilcox Company.
Today Stephen Wilcox, And George Babcock's Great New Invention Is Used To Power U.S Navy And Merchant Marine Ships. These Men's Boilers soon paved the way for the development of high pressure, high temperature power plants for electricity production.
