| Inhalants are very terrible. They're as bad as any drug like marijuana or steroids. Inhalants make the brain work differently. Inhalants include hairspray, gasoline or any other house hold products that you can inhale. The person that’s doing it may think the inhalants make them happy for a short period of time. Inhalants sometimes leave the body quickly, but others may stay in the body for hours. The chemicals inhaled can stick to fatty tissue and stay in the body which can break down myelin. Myelin is what protects nerves. Scientists are very interested with inhalants because it affects many parts of the body. If someone uses inhalants for a long time they can slow down or speed up parts of the body. There are still many things scientists don’t know about inhalants. | |
