The appendix is located branching of the first section of the big intestine. In the last two years, doctors have found out that one of the only reasons that it exist is it is one of the main things that fight germs in your body. It is loaded with white blood cells. With out you appendix, you are more liable to get diseases. Until the last two years, doctors were in the dark about the appendix.
Appendicitis is the disease of appendix rupturing. At first the appendix will just get inflamed and swollen. This will cause pain in the stomach area, and then it will move to your lower right side right above your hip. Appendicitis is common in the ages of 10-30. If the appendix ruptures, it can be life threatening and you should be seen by an E.R. specialist.
