1 in 150 children have autism. Autism is more common in boys than in girls. Scientist think that autism is because of the difference in brain chemicals. Children with autism are diagnosed at the age of 1.5 to the age of 4. They treat autism by having specialists help teach the child what is complicating to them. They do not do surgery or use medicines to treat autism. A kid will seem normal until the age of 24 to 30 months of age. Autism will appear to children with fathers at an older age. When a child is diagnosed with autism they will be taught the skills at a young age. They found that if they are taught the skills at a younger age they will have a better chance at learning them. Two thirds of the children with autism are mentally retarded. Also over one forth develop seizures.
