It’s a cancer disorder of the blood forming tissues and it’s the most common cancer kids get .Leukemia involves the blood and blood forming organs, such as the bone marrow. Kids with leukemia produce lots of abnormal white blood cells in the bone marrow. The white blood cells in the person with leukemia don’t work the way there supposed to. Instead of protecting the person the white blood cells multiply like crazy. They fill up the bone marrow and make it hard for enough normal, infection fighting white blood cells the form. The red blood cells also get crowded by the white blood cells. It’s a cancer disorder of the blood-forming tissues. It’s characterized by excessive production of immature or mature leukocytes. It was first named by Rudolf Virchow in 1887.
