New Mexico's State Capital: Santa Fe

History (5 important events):
1. During the US Civil War volunteers helped supply lines of invading.

2. 1848 treaty of Guadalupe is sighned.

3. 1626 Spanish inquisition set.

4. 1854 purchased 45,000 square miles of land.

5. 1600 San Gabriel founded as 2nd state capital.
Geography (Describe the land, rivers, mountains, lakes, etc):
New Mexico is hilly in some spots and flat in others. There are also lots of rivers in New Mexico like the Rio Grande River, the Pecos River, the Canadian River and the Gila River. There are also some mountains like the Zuni Mountains, the San Andres Mountains, the Sangre De Cristo and the Rocky Mountains. There are also other things like Wheeler Peak, Black Range and a place called White Sands.
