1. In 1995 Terrorist bombs, blew up the Murrah Federal building

2. 1541 Is When Spanish explorers Coronado Ventured through the area on his quest for the lost city of gold.

3.In 1803 U.S. acquired most of Oklahoma from france in the Louisiana Purchase
4.1682 French explorer Robert Cavelier and Sieur de la Salle claimed Oklahoma for France
5. 1872 The railroad crossed Oklahoma and routes of commerce began to open

Black Mesa is in Cimarron Country (4,973 feet high) the lowest is due east of Idaho in McCurtain Country (6,287 Feet)
