A HOW TO GUIDE FOR ELECTING A PRESIDENT

Step one:The announcement
Everyone who wants to become a candidate must first make an announcement that he or she will be a primary or a caucus.
Step two:Primaries or Caucuses
Each party member votes for a candidate that will represent that party in the upcoming general election.
Step three:The national convention
Every party holds a national convention to finalize their parties candidate.
Step four:They get the votes
Now that all the parties have their candidates the general election begins. Candidates go throughout the USA to get votes by using T.V interviews,the newspaper,and worldwide speeches.
Step five:The electoral college
Every state gets a certain amount of electors depending on the states representation to congress. Altogether there are five hundred thirty-eight electors.
Step six:The office
On January twentieth the new president takes over the office and they take care of the United States of America.
IMPORTANT TERMS
Electors:Electors vote for who they want and their votes count as electoral votes. There are 538 electoral votes altogether.
Caucuses:Voters decide who they want for their party candidate in the upcoming general election.
Conventions:To make a meeting for finalizing a parties candidate.
