THAT NIGHT

This story is based on a real event that happened in life . This story is for children aged eight years and over .One day in July, there I was playing my video game when along came my uncle and said,

“Do you want to go to Montreal” he said.

“Why”I asked.

“To go to a my friend’s sister’s wedding” he said.

“Mom can we go to Montreal “Please!” I said.

“Hey do you wanna go to Montreal for a wedding” she said to my dad.

“Sure, and it could be our vacation as well” he said.

Then, we all were getting packed for the trip. Until my mom said something to my uncle in a whisper,

“We’re going to go if you don’t fight at the party” she said.

“Okay, but hurry up because we’re leaving tomorrow afternoon.”

I knew that my uncle wasn’t sure if he could stay out of fighting, but I knew he couldn’t. That afternoon everyone was busy getting packed for the trip. Me and my mom were packing our suits, jewelry, and some other things to take.

“Hey are you three done packing” said my mom to my brother, dad and my uncle.

“Yeah, we’re almost ready” they said.

The next day came and it was time to go. Everyone was scrambling around like ants and scrambled eggs not to forget anything.

“Dad, mom how long is it going to take to get to Montreal” I asked.

“We don’t know because if we take stops along the way it might take more then six hours and if we don’t, it might take less then six hours” they said.

My uncle didn’t allow us to any stops along the way. My brother had to go to the washroom really badly but my uncle said “wait until we get to Montreal” he said.

“Wake up, we’ve reached to Montreal” said my mom.

“Mom let me sleep I’m tried” said my brother.

My uncle’s friend was standing outside waiting for us to get in the house.

“How are you” asked my uncle’s friend.

“We’re doing fine” said my uncle.

You all better head upstairs because tomorrow’s the wedding and we have to get up early” he said.

Everybody went upstairs and went to sleep. The next day came and everybody was getting ready.

“Get up, there are two more families here and the washroom is going to be busy all morning” said my mom.

Everybody got ready, and we left to go to the temple (Gurdwara) for the wedding. When we got there we were early, but the boy’s family was late.

After the wedding was done we went home because in the afternoon was the party. When the afternoon came everybody was getting ready for the party. It was time to go.

“Mom can I get some cake” I said.

“Sure” said my mom.

After the party my uncle left, but dropped his wallet and my mom found it on the ground. Everybody went home to get some rest. Every one fell asleep, except my uncle and his friend they went out to fight. The next morning everyone was crying because my uncle died at police station. I saw him covered in blood and broken bones. At the funeral I was so sad that I cried all day he was my favorite uncle, he knew English, french, looked awesome and more.

After this day I have never ever went into his room.

THE END!
