1. transversal - A line that cuts across two or more other lines

2. angle – the amount of turning between two lines

3. parallel – lines that are the same distance apart

4. perpendicular – lines that intersect at right angles to each other

5. adjacent angle – angles right next to each other

6. alternate exterior angle - When a pair of parallel lines is intersected by a transversal, angles are on the outside

7. alternate interior angle - When a pair of parallel lines is intersected by a transversal, angles are on the inside

8. vertical angle – pair of angles directly opposite each other, formed by the intersection of straight lines

9. acute angle – an angle measuring less than 90º

10. obtuse angle – any angle between 90º and 180º

11. right angle – any angle measuring 90º
