Geometry Vocabulary
1. transversal- A line that goes through two or more other lines. 2. angle- The amount of turning between two lines that intersect. 3. parallel- Two lines that lie in the same coordinate plane but do not intersect. 4. perpendicular- When two lines intersect in a 90* or right angle. 5. adjacent angle- Next to each other. 6. alternate exterior angle- When a group of Parallel lines intersects with a transversal. 7. alternate interior angle- When a group of Parallel lines intersects with a transversal. 8. vertical angle- A line that goes up and down. 9. acute angle- An angle less than 90*. 10. obtuse angle- An angle greater than 90*. 11. right angle- An angle with a measure of 90*.
