Geometry Vocabulary

1. Transversal- A line that crosses two or more line

2. Angle- Amount of a turning between two lines that meet at common points

3. Parallel- Lines that never intersected and are the same distance apart

4. Perpendicular- Two lines that intersected at a 90° angles

5. Adjacent Angle- Angles that are right next to each other

6. Alternate Exterior Angle- Angles that are the outside and biggest angles on the parallel lines and are horizontal to each other along the transversal

7. Alternate Interior Angle- Angles that are inside and smaller angles on the parallel lines and horizontal to each other along the transversal

8. Vertical Angle- Pair of angles opposite to each other made on the intersection of straight lines

9. Acute Angle- A angle that is smaller than 90°

10. Obtuse Angle- A angle that is bigger than 90° and 180°

11. Right Angle- A angle that measures 90° exactly
