Geometry Vocabulary

1. Transversal –A line that intersects two other lines.
2. Angle – turning of two lines to a specific point.
3. Parallel –two lines that are the same in distance.
4. Perpendicular –lines that make a right angel.
5. Adjacent angle –two angles that are next to each other.
6. Alternate exterior angle - parallel are intersected by a transversal and the lines are exterior. 7.alternate interior angle –parallel are intersected by a transversal and the lines are interior.
8. Vertical angle –lines that go up and down.
9. Acute angle –an angle that is less than 90 degrees.
10. Obtuse angle –an angle that is less than 90 degrees.
11. Right angle –an angle that is exactly 90 degrees.
