Geometry Vocabulary

1. transversal – a line that goes through 2 or more angles
2. angle – the space between 2 lines
3. parallel – 2 line that never touch
4. perpendicular – where 2 lines intersect that are different directions
5. adjacent angle – angles right next to each other
6. alternate exterior angle – opposite outside angles
7. alternate interior angle – opposite inside angles
8. vertical angle – angle created by 2 vertical lines
9. acute angle – an angle less than 90 degree
10. obtuse angle – an angle more than 90 degree
11. right angle – a 90 degree angle
