Established in 1929 in San Francisco, The Academy of Art University became one of the most innovative art schools in the nation.

The classes they offer include advertising animation and visual effects, architecture, fashion, fine art, game design, graphic design, illustration, industrial design, interior architecture design, motion pictures and television, multimedia communications, music for visual media, photography, and web design and new media.

Requirements: A sealed copy of your official transcript, a statement of why you want to attend the college, a resume, and college transcripts (if you are tranfering). You must turn in a portfolio that contains a list of descriptions of the pieces of art. You can contact an Admisssions Representative to find out more details regarding the portfolio. It is $740 per unit. For a four year attendence, it comes out to $35,520. Room and Board is $12,000

They accept aid from FAFSA, Federal, State, NSLDS, and more.

Conclusion: I think this is one of the best schools around in terms of art. If i attended this school, I would be interested in photography, graphic design, and architecture.
