What do you have to do to get into the school?
Freshman Admissions Requirements
1. Application form (online preferred) with fee of $50
2. Official transcripts from each high school attended or official GED scores
3. Results of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT 1) or the American College Testing Program (ACT) with writing.
4. One letter of recommendation.
5. Portfolio if required

How Much Does It Cost?
1-11 Undergraduate Credits: $1,085.00 per credit
12-18 Undergraduate Credits: $33,500.00 annually
19+ Undergraduate Credits: $33,500.00 plus $1,085.00 per credit in excess of 18 credits
Graduate Credits: No flat rate: $1,195.00 per credit
Graduate School of Library and Information Science: No flat rate: $960.00 per credit

2009-2010 Fees
Full-time undergraduates pay approximately $1,630.00 excluding Student Health Insurance.
Graduate students pay $1,530.00.

The Health Insurance fee for the 2009-2010 year is $629.00 per semester.

Architecture Shop Fees
$60.00 Annually

Digital Arts Fees
All 100/200/300 Level Courses $40.00 per course
All 400/500 Level Courses $50.00 per course
All 600 level Courses $60.00 per course

Books and Supplies
Approximately $3,000 per year, depending on program.
Library science students pay approximately $1,000.

Students provide their own textbooks and instructional and art supplies. These books and supplies may be purchased either at the bookstore maintained by Pratt (on campus) or at local art supply stores. Bookstore expenses are not chargeable to the student's Institute tuition account.

Dormitory/Meal Plans
Dormitory and meal plans are charged by the Residential Life Office.
Mandatory Medical Insurance
All students are required to have medical insurance. Pratt charges all students every semester to ensure each student is covered. The insurance rate for 2009-2010 is $629.00 per semester. For those students with existing medical coverage, an online waiver must be completed by the waiver deadline in order to avoid the student health insurance fee.

To apply for need-based aid including student loans, you are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), found online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.

The financial aid application process is simple and straight forward. Many receive their award package early enough to enable the enrolled to make a fully informed decision. Most students receive their awards online in March immediately after they are accepted.
