In the following lines I´m going to talk about a topic that is very important for all people who need to move throughout of this big city called Mexico. And the Topic is the Traffic Jam. But not only will I speak about it, also I´ll give a proposal from my major “Social Work”
I consider that topic important because, how many people arrives late to his engagements for the traffic guilt? And the answer is many, inclusive many of us have been victims of that problem. Also that problem gives us many problems, as pollution, stress, waste of time, etc. and is incredible how the traffic can change inmediatly our attitudeand mood. How many of us haven´t responded with a insult, bad word or obscene signs? because the bottleneck is very desesperated. However the behavior of drivers is a reflect that don´t exist any kind of road culture, becuase if many of us not break laws, all it wiil be easier.
This phenomenon as problem isn’t new , started around 80´s as a result the urbanization when the population started to grow up more and more, and the government didn´t have the enough resources to tend it, so it started to take measures like built new roads like Anillo periferico, Circuito, etc . But isn´t enough because now a days the problem persist including bigger.
Traffic jamnever will end if the government follow thinking economic- structural solutions, as we know is impossible stop the growth up the population or give them all that they need. The best solution that I found is stop thinking of built and built, and start to use profesionists as social workers who trough a new education in the field of road culture, with the finality to achieve the awareness among individuals about the problem to act different and begin to respect the laws, space for drivers and yours. All this through outreach and counseling and education activities aimed at community.
It´s time to brake the vision that the foreigners have about us and build a new city…with new thoughts, new actions and the most important without the past mistakes .As students is our responsibility start to act…..
