| Magellan was born in the year 1480 in Northern Portugel.His parents died when he was only 10 years old. When he was 25 years old he went on expedition to Melkola.When he went on his journey he traveld with 5 ships and there names were called the :Santiago, San Antonio, Conception, Trinidad, and the Victoria.In October in 1520 he sailed through the straight. It took him 38 days to go through it.Then when they got out of the straight they came to yhis huge ocean which he named the Pacific Ocean. Next they came to this island. To find out that they had native peaple living on the island. They had a war and Ferdinand Magellen died because a native killed him with a poison arrow and that was the last of Ferdinand Magellen. | |
