Stuart will be remembered for being a general in the Civil War. He served in the Confederate Army for 1855 to 1861. 1. Jeb Stuart was born in Virginia on February 6, 1833. He was married to Flora Cook. They had three sons together. 2. Stuart attended military academy and graduated from West Point. 3. He joined the Confederacy in 1861. He served under Robert E. Lee. He became a commander in the Confederate Calvary. He fought in the Battle of Bull Run and he took his men and horses all the way around the Union Army. 4. His words were famous he said, “Every man must be a hero”. He became a famous writer. He was friends with Stone Wall Jackson. 5. He was shot at Yellow Tavern in Virginia. He died on may 11,1863.
