Sennacherib was the King of Assyria. Sennacherib was the one that made the city of Nineveh an awesome city.(700 B.C.) The streets were built fresh, and inside of the city was "palace with no rival" it was a famous palace.It was big it had about 80 rooms, that were lined with sculpture.Nineveh was short-lived. Years later a near by city named Babylonia attacked them but failed. In 689 BC, Babylonia again attacked them, but Sennacherib defended by opening the canals around Babylon and flooding the outside of the city until it became tottaly flooded, that is how it was destroyed. Sennacherib won every single fight or battle he was in.He was a military master no one could take him down. Sennacherib wanted to capture Jerusalem, so he headed towards it destorying 46 villages on his way.He tried to attack thier army but failed, so he didn't capture Jerusalem.At Like 633 B.C, the empire was showing signs of weakness.Ninveh was attacked by the Medes people, who again teamed up with 2 other tribes (Babylonians and Susianians) attacked them again at like 623 B.C. Ninveh was down by 612 B.C.Sennacherib was murdered, probably by one of his sons.He was killed in one of the Babylon Palaces.He was important too the Fertile Cresent because he built the city of Nineveh.
