How are buildings made safer for Earthquakes?

There are many different tactics that people who build buildings use. For instance, They will bolt the buildings to foundations, or strengthen the walls with reinforced concrete or steel beams. The steel beams help stop bending during an earthquake. They will also use rubber and steel pads called isolators. They can help absorb some of the energy from the earthquakes.
