| .Richard Steven Valen is a normal teenage boy who becomes a rock \'n\' roll superstar. Who died at the age of 17 in a plane crash. The movie also has several subplots, such as his relationship with his mother Connie Valenzuela and half-brother Bob and the very jealousy Bob felt toward Ritchie because of his success. Bob resorts to drinking heavily cause he won a art contest and he didnt think his mom cared enough about him as she cared about richie.
Ritchie and Bob go out for a good time. they take a road trip to Tijuana, visiting one of the local nightclubs where Ritchie discovers the song that would eventually become his biggest hit, \"La Bamba\". It takes place in Pacoima California where he and his family makes a living working on farms. In 1987 is when the movie La bamba takes place. | |
