Why shouldn\'t public schools do it?

1. A classroom full of one sex will only complicate things, because some student learn best in a diverse setting

2. boys will be too distracted in class by talking about sports and games rather then doing their school work, Girls will also be distracted by being too talkative and discussing the latest fashions.

3. The USA is a very miscellaneous place, some students choose not to be defined by their gender which will cause a conflict when they are placed in all boys and all girls classrooms.

Given how boys and girls interact with each other in class with the flirting and who likes who game, I can see the reasoning for separating them into separate classrooms.

However the world is not divided into boys and girls sections, so why allow Single-Sex Education, making students believe thats how the world is?

Having single sex classrooms have some good intentions but its not realistic. This extends beyond High school and College, In the work place men and women work together as one to get the job done, not men do one task and women do another in separate rooms.
