| Dauphin Island is a wonderful place to explore. One of the prettiest beaches in the world, it\'s a great place to play in the sand and water. Dauphin Island is also home to historic Fort Gaines. This was the site of the Battle of Mobile Bay. Guided tours of the fort are available on the weekends.
