Mobile Infirmary was founded in 1910, and is the largest not-for-profit hospital in Alabama. With more than 2,500 employees and 650 physicians on staff, it stands as the region’s leader for integrative healthcare and groundbreaking technology. Accredited by The Joint Commission, the hospital is also renowned for its cardiovascular program and houses a bariatric center of excellence and stroke center. In partnership with the University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute, it has become the region’s foremost destination for cancer care and treatment.

Since 1984, the Infirmary Foundation hasgiven more than $22 million back to the community. Founded to raise funds for new equipment, programs and service lines at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center and the J.L. Bedsole/Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital, the success of the Infirmary Foundation’s fundraising efforts keeps these facilities as the region’s leader in technology and innovative health care.
