In November of 2007, ThyssenKrupp invested nearly $5 billion to build one of the most technologically advanced carbon steel processing facilities in the world to serve high value markets in the Americas. In July of 2010, after 200 years of quality steel making in Germany, the first ThyssenKrupp steel coil was produced in North America.In Alabama, we have combined two hundred years of metallurgical expertise with the latest in 21st Century technology for demanding customers in the NAFTA market.

For ThyssenKrupp Steel USA, the future has only just begun. We are working to ensure steel continues to shape technical progress in NAFTA, and particularly in the United States, through the 21st century. Innovative and smart, steel today is the number one industrial material. We concentrate on flat steel products that have strong growth potential.
