John Lennon was a pacifist and he wrote many hit songs about peace like Imagine and All you need is love. John Winston Lennon was born on October 9, 1940 in England. He had a problematic childhood because his parents divorced and he had to choose who he wanted to live with. He chose his father but later he went with his mother. Then the rest of his childhood and adolescence he lived with his aunt and uncle. One day while his mother was driving a car, she had an accident and died on July 15, 1958.
The Quarrymen was the first band that he created in 1956, and then he created the band called the Beatles with the same members of his first band. Later in 1960 Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Sutcliffe became The Beatles because the other members went out.
On December 8, 1980 at 10:50pm when he was going back to his apartment with Ono (his second wife) Mark David Chapman shot him five times. That man had asked for the autograph of John Lennon that afternoon. He died at 11:20pm. Mark David went to jail with penal servitude for life. He didn’t have a funeral. His ashes were scattered in Central Park.
