PERSONAL INFORMATION
-Kelly Miller married Annie May Butler in 1894.
-He was an important figure in intellectual community of his time.
-The son of Kelly Miller, was a free African American cotton farmer.
-Kelly Miller\'s mother was a slave.

EDUCATION
-Kelly Miller recieved his early education in one of the local primary schools established during reconstruction, and based on the recommendation of a missionary who recognized Millers mathematical aptitude.
-Kelly Miller went to Howard University.
Degrees Earned:
-Master of Arts (M.A) in mathematics
-Law degree (LL.D)

WORK EXPERIENCE
-After teaching mathematics befily at the M Street High School in Washington D.C. (1889-1890), he was appointed to the faculty of Howard University in 1890.
-He worked as a clerk for the U.S. pension office for 2 years.
-Dr. Miller was also a prolific writer and an outspoken advocate of African- American education.
- He was a teacher and administrator on Harward and retired in 1931.

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Kelly Miller wrote books such as:
Out of the House of Bandage(1914) and Race Adjustment(1908)
-He wrote a column that appeared in more than 100 news papers.(1920-1930)
-Kelly Miller was awarded a scholarship to Howard University. Based on a recommendation from a missionary.

ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS
-Kelly Miller liked to study, go to school, and teach.
-Miller was interseted in the plight of African American.
-He was also intersted to craft numerous lectures and pamphlets that eramined the Racil experiences.

INTERESTING FACTS
-He was the first black mathematics graduate student in 1887 from Howard University.
-The greatest scientific minds have not only denystified the world with their discoveries.
-He was the sixth of TEN childeren!
