Cantor worked between 1874 and 1884 , is the origin of set theory.
He was a good philosopher and a good mathematician.

Cantor was promoted to extraordinary professor in 1872 and made full professor in 1879.
Cantor suffered his first boot of depression in 1884.
Cantor invented the infinity numbers.
