Ares is the Symbol of the spear and his second symbol was a animal, the dog. Ares is still in pop culture to day, you can see references of him in name of stores, movies, and video games. Some big references are the video game series God of War, and Ares is the name of NASA\'s transport ship that will take the place of the space shuttle. Though Ares is a Greek God you still see him around in Pop Culture.

Ares son of Zeus God of the God and Hera Goddess of marriage. : His siblings consist of Eilithyia, goddess of childbirth, Hebe, goddess of youth and Hephaestus, Olympian god of Metallurgy. When Ares got older he had a secret mistress, Aphrodite the god of Love and beauty. They had a total of 7 children together and were Himeros, Pothos, Phobos, Deimos, Armonia, Eros, and Anteros. Ares did have a daughter with Aglaulus called Alcippe.

Ares and the Aloadae Giants, the story of Homer, Iliad 5. Where Ares is imprisoned by Ephialtes and Otos, sons of Aloeus. They would chain him up with chain too strong for him to break. He would stay in a cauldron for three month and 10 day still Ephialtes and Otos stepmother told Hermes to break him free. This is one of many stories that Ares is involved in, some showing his power others, him being pushed around.
