| Mercury is the son of Jupiter and Maia. His brother is Ares the god of war. He is the god of trade, merchants, thieves and travelers. He is also the messenger of the gods. He is often represented with a staff that has two snakes around it and he is wearing winged sandals. Some people think that he killed Argus for Zeus by putting him to sleep and then cutting off his head. | |
