Zeus the god of sky is a Greek God. He has many symbols to his name to include a thunderbolt for the weapon he uses and a bull for the animal he is in some of the Greek stories and myths just to include some. Zeus has many connections to the current world we live in and a couple examples are as follows. One of the ways Zeus is connected in today’s world is through the Gatorade symbol. On it is a capital G with a lightning bolt in the center of it, which was one of Zeus\'s symbols of power and stands for power in Gatorade since it’s an energy drink. Zeus\'s other symbol is an eagle which also stands for power since Zeus is power and this eagle is the United States national bird and also appears on the U.S seal. This can be interpreted as the symbol of Zeus intertwined with the USA and can be a strategy to show others we are a powerful and mighty country just like Zeus.

Zeus has many family connections with the other Gods. Ares the god of war is Zeus\'s son and his mother is Hera Zeus\'s wife. Another God related to Zeus is Hermes the god of merchants, shepherds and messengers, which was a son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia. Yet another child of Zeus is the goddess Britomartis, the goddess of hunting and fishing nets, her mother was the Nymphet Karme.

This is a myth with Zeus in it. There was an epic battle that lasted for ten long years between Zeus and the Olympians and Cronus and the Titans. It was Zeus and the Olympians on Mt. Olympus against Cronus and the Titans on Mt.Othrys. Prometheus’s brother Atlas sided with Cronus which is basic treason. Zeus was eventually victorious and the titans got imprisoned in Tartarus, and guarded by Hecatonchires. Atlas the traitor got punished specifically by Zeus and was tasked with holding up Uranus.
