Hera is the queen of the greek gods. She is the goddess of marriage and childbirth. Hera was born from Chronus and Rhea, Zeus was also their son. Even though Zeus and Hera were brother and sister, Zeus raped Hera leaving Hera no other choice then to marry him. They then had four children, Athena, greek goddess of wisdom, Ares, greek god of war, Hephaestus, greek god of fire, and Hebe, greek goddess of youth. Hera has many symbols. Two of Hera\'s symbols are Oak and Myrrh. Oak is a tree that produces acorns as their fruit. This tree is the strongest out of all the trees. The oak tree symbolizes power. Myrrh is a fragrant that comes out of curtain trees. It is used for medicines, or perfumes. Hera\'s symbols all connect to her because she is the queen of the greek gods and has power over all of them.
Hera has many books about her. Two out of the many literature writings about Hera are Hera: Queen of the Gods, Goddess of Marriage and Hera, Queen of Gods. Hera: Queen of the Gods, Goddess of Marriage was written by Teri Temples and Robert Squier. Hera, Queen of Gods was written by T.D. Thomas. These two books are focused on who was Hera and how her power was influenced by the gods of greek mythology.
