Cronus is the Greek god of fertility. Cronus’s symbols are the scythe, sickle and the harp. His parents are Uranus and Gaia. Cronus has many brothers and sisters such as Rhea, Oceanus, Hyperion, Theia, Coeus, Phoebe, Iapetus, Crius, Mnemosyne, Tethys and Themis. He also has many children like: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter, Chiron. He is also the Roman god named Saturn. His successor is the god of all the ‘new’ gods Zeus.How Cronus is still alive in pop culture is that there are a few references to him in newer literature and movies. He\'s briefly pictured in the Disney movie; Hercules. Also, There is a character named Cronus Ampora in the popular webcomic called Homestuck by Andrew Hussie.
