| Chief Bowles dad was scotch-Irish and his mom was Cherokee.He was supposed to be born in the year 1756. It is not certain in what section of the country he was born.Someone described him as light eyes,red hair,and freckled.In June 1794 he led a group of people to New Orleans.He had many different names.He fought in the battle of the Neches.He died in 1813 in Henderson County T.X.During the Texas Revolution 1836 chief Bowles forged an alliance with SAM HOUSTON when Santa Ana was coming with 6,000 troops!!!!!Did you know that Sam Houston didnt honor the peace treaty and took back the land he had given to Bowles. | |
